MLA Sameer Meghe and Haresh K. Vora, both from Nagpur, were among the five elected as Vice-Presidents of WIFA besides sitting Vice-Presidents, Viswajeet Kadam (Pune), Maloje Raje Chhatrapati (Kolhapur) and Syed Liaquat Hussain (Aurangabad), all retained their posts as they were re-elected. There were eight candidates contesting for the five posts.

The Treasurers’ position was won by the incumbent, Pyarelal Choudhary (Pune), who will continue for another term.

Meanwhile, the electoral picked new faces for the three Assistant Secretaries posts. Kiran Chougule (Solhapur), Salim Parkote (Latur) and Sushil Kumar Surve (Amravati), were elected from among the five candidates who were contesting the post.

Mumbai’s U. Banerjee retained his post among the 13 Committee Members elected from the 16 contestants.
