Alright, moment of reflection over. Whether we like it or not, kickers are a part of most fantasy leagues, which means we need to research them as we would players at any other position…or, you know, at least add the rankings to the end of our cheat sheets, try to highlight a few sleepers, and come up with a draft strategy that doesn’t involve getting made fun of by our fellow drafters.

The draft strategy part is easy – wait until one of the last two rounds to draft a kicker. Spotting sleepers is tough, especially since you will likely have at least two kickers on your roster at some point during the season. Ultimately, getting an accurate kicker with a good leg on a decent offense is your best bet, but other factors – like whether a kicker plays indoors or even if a kicker’s team projects to go for two more often (looking at you, Chris Boswell) – can make a slight difference.
We took all that into account when putting together our rankings for this season. If you follow this list and draft whomever is the next man up, we promise you won’t get made fun of. However, if you take a kicker in the ninth round, we’ll find out and personally mock you at your home or place of business.
