The Sterling saga ended just in time, with the Clippers being turned over to former Microsoft CEO Steve Ballmer only a day before the official announcement of the team’s ‘14-15 schedule. The official baton toss was momentous because it meant Sterling, one of the worst owners and people associated with the league, no longer was involved with the NBA. There are some unnecessary trappings as a result — such as estranged wife Shelly Sterling’s title, seats and parking spaces — but the Clippers are finally in a stable place....
