I went back and forth with which stat I would weight most heavily, SG off the tee or SG approach, but I settled on off the tee. The fairways are generously wide, but if you hit it in that long fescue, making a par is basically impossible and brings double and triple bogey into play. Length is certainly important, but accuracy off the tee is even more so. You simply will not be seeing players make birdies if they aren’t well positioned in the fairway....
